BIO:
Rafael Benoit was born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, New York. He enjoys writing poetry, staying in shape, playing sports, reading new plays and dancing. Rafael comes from many ethnic backgrounds. His father is Dominican, French, Italian, and Spanish, and his mother is Puerto Rican and Spanish. He is very proud of his predominant Latin culture, enjoying the sounds of merengue, bachata, and salsa music as well as eating Criollo/Caribbean cuisine. He is thankful and blessed for the wisdom and guidance from his mother, mentors from Hofstra University, and his teachers from Columbia University.
