

Kelly Eubanks comes from San Diego, California. She received her B.A. in Dramatic Art at UC Davis. In her final year, the faculty awarded her Outstanding Performance in Acting of the Year for her work in "The Screens". During her time there, she participated in many outside projects in the community. She taught a class on shadow puppets to 3rd grade children, toured Twelfth Night to local schools, directed children to create a play based on a social issue in their community. She is a two time receipient of the Artsbridge Scholarship. Upon graduation, she took flight to Manchester Metropolitan University in England. She participated in an intensive acting training program for a short while as an exchange student. She returned to San Diego to play Jacques in "As You Like It", (New Village Arts -Shakespeare in the Park). She was nominated for an Aubrey Award for Cherie in "Bus Stop". She finally felt it time to fully commit to a grad school program and develop her skills. In 2003 she was accepted to the MFA Columbia Acting program. For the last three years, she's played a variety of roles including Alcestis, Wendla (Spring's Awakening), Masha (Three Sisters), Nina (The Seagull), Lucy (Three Penny Opera), Beatrice (The Changeling), Jacqueline (Jaques), Girl (Roberto Zucco), Parlor Maid (La Ronde). Off-Off Broadway she played Nancy in "Charlie Moose Makes His Move". This past summer she played a puppeteer/narrator in "Corpse Bride". This piece won "Best of the Fest" title. Also this summer she produced "The Maids" in San Diego. The piece was developed at Columbia under the direction of Ulla Wolcz. Along with her two classmates (Laura Butler, Rebecca Henderson) they performed "The Maids" under the banner of NU Classic Theater. Check out www.nuclassictheater.com for more information. Although most of her credits are in theater, she is very interested in film/television/commercials. She recently took part in a DADA film directed by Niky Wolcz for the 2005 German Weimar Festival. She played Anna Blume in "Anna Blume", and Judith in "BlueBeard Castle". She has one commercial credit to date for Gems of La Costa. She is an active long distance runner-scuba diver-Polynesian wannabe dancer. Currently she is getting ready to play Zerbinette OFF Broadway at Classic Stage Theater in "Scapin" and finishing her final year at Columbia University.
