

Luis
Moreno was born in New York City, grew up in Manhattan and in Madrid,
Spain, and has performed Off Broadway, internationally, and in
Portland, OR. He was last seen at Classic Stage Company as Solyony in
Pavol Liska's Three Sisters, Tartuffe in Tartuffe, directed by Brian
Kulick, and Philinte in The Misanthrope, directed by Michael Sexton. He
was also seen as Lear in Learregardless at the Sanford Meisner Theater.
At Columbia, favorite roles include Hamm in Endgame, King Basilio in
Life is a Dream, and Woyzeck. Luis has also collaborated with the
Oojamadome (Jolly Ship the Whiz-Bang, Canada's Midriff), and on the
Urban ETC 2.1 installation If you go in here you must come back.
In Portland, where he lived for several years, he performed with such
critically acclaimed companies as Liminal (Seven Deadly Sins), Defunkt
(Three Mutants), and Cygnet (The Trial). He has directed plays in
Spain, France and Portland, by Arrabal (Picnic), the Marquis de Sade
(Oxtiern), and an adaptation of Hoichi the Earless.
Luis holds a B.A. in Theatre and Philosophy from Bard College (NY). He
trained with the SITI company in the summer of 2002.
Film credits include Cool Hand Mortensen for No. 92 Productions and
Captain Fluoxetine for Bionic films . His voice can be heard on Oregon
Public Broadcasting, and White Horse's educational Bridges to
Literature.
Luis wrote an authorized translation of Fernando Arrabal's El Triciclo
(The Tricycle) in 2002.
