I was born on March 20 in Ithaca, New York. Since then I've lived in Massachusettes, Ohio, New York, Japan and California. English was my second language. I'm biracial and I have an intense passion for music, art, traveling, culture and challenging myself.
Sports were my first obsession. I was seldom seen without a ball in my hand, baseball cap on my head, and grass stains on my knees. I coached my little sisters t-ball, little league, and all-star teams to various tournaments and championship games. Like my father, I was voted "Most Dedicated/Most Inspirational," by my peers and coaches because of my knowledge and work ethic.
My other fascination was studio art. Many of my pieces were displayed in local galleries and won "Best of Show" awards. But, instead of art school I attended UcDavis where I discovered my greatest passion.
I took a beginning acting class during my first term and instantly fell in love. I was terrified before performing, but could not wait to get back onstage when I was finished. I came to realize the great power of theatre and decided I wanted to do this for the rest of my life.
I have spent the last two and a half years of my life training with some of the greatest theatre artists today. At Columbia University I've worked with Kristin Linklater, Anne Bogart, Andrei Serban and Niky and Ulla Wolcz. This past summer I collaborated with fellow students and took a show to Caracas Venezuela. From there I flew directly to Minneapolis and attended "The Guthrie Experience." This past fall I performed in two Moliere plays at the prestigious Off-Broadway theatre Classic Stage Company. I played the small but fun part of Dubois in “The Misanthrope” and acted the part of Scapin in “Scapin.” The latter play was the best theatre experience of my life.
I am doing these many things because I want to learn and grow. I believe these experiences along with my desire to have a positive influence onstage and off will help obtain my number one goal and greatest passion, to be the most influential actor I can be.
My life has made me into an inspired, motivated, athletic individual who has a broad range of interests, an open mind and virtually endless energy.
