Sheyenne Javonne Brown is a Bronx native who found herself in Vermont as a theatre major at Middlebury College, and later in Newark, NJ as a middle school teacher. Teaching is the toughest form of acting so naturally, Sheyenne returned to theatre.

Inspired by the works of Anna Deavere Smith and Sarah Jones, Sheyenne aspires to join them on the quest to share untold stories to a world that may not hear them otherwise. Sheyenne recently wrote and performed her one-woman show Shower Me, which explores the different ways motherhood can manifest itself. Sheyenne’s first one-woman show, A Colored Girl's College Tour, examined questions of identity while attending two culturally different institutions.
